11-Year-Old Genius Is Out To Prove Stephen Hawking Wrong
Children are amazing blessings from God and it is up to us to raise them right and teach them the ways of the Lord! We are supposed to educate these young children, but what if they are already smarter than we are?! Well, William Maillis is one boy who is not your typical 11-year-old. William is far beyond his years in regards to education and understanding, and the boy is consumed with the idea of becoming an astrophysicist.

William’s desire to become an astrophysicist came from his strong belief in God. The boy disagrees with some of Einstein and Hawking’s theories about black holes, and the young genius has his own ideas about how to explain the existence of the universe. William is the son of a Greek Orthodox Priest, and he has been raised to have amazing faith. Noe, he wants to prove that an outside force is the only thing capable of creating the universe, meaning that he wants to prove that “God does exist.” Stephen Hawking, however, who passed away this week at the age of 76, held a much different belief than William does. “Before we understood science, it was natural to believe that God created the universe, but now science offers a more convincing explanation,” Hawkings had once said. “What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is we would know everything that God would know if there was a God, but there isn’t. I’m an atheist.”

Now, William wants to prove Hawkings wrong, and this is what he has to say: “Well because there are these atheists that try to say that there is no God, when in reality it takes more faith to believe that there’s no God than it does to believe that there is a God… Because it makes more sense that something created the universe than that the universe created itself. It takes more faith to say the universe created itself than to say something other created the universe because that is more logical.” Wow, what an amazing young boy!
