Latest News ExoMars mission to search for signs of life on the Red-Planet
A latest Mars probe is about to receive off on a mission to
hunt down chemical signs of life in the Red Planet’s atmos-phere. On March 14,
ExoMars is planned to depart from Kazakhstan for a seven-month journey to Mars,
where it will use up several years orbiting the planet creation an inventory of
all gases counting methane, a possible side-effect of life.
Next to with an orbiter, ExoMars will deliver a lander named
Schiaparelli, which will check entry, descent and landing techniques for a
rover intended to launch in 2018. The orbiter will act as a telecommunications
relay for both this lander and the future traveler. Both missions are shared
projects of the European & Russian space agencies.
